Tetra Pak^® Ingredient Doser A3

The Tetra Pak^® Ingredient Doser A3 adds extra ingredients continuously and accurately to ice cream and other liquid or viscous products. The ingredient doser A3 handles fruit pieces and candies, and the larger 3000 model also takes inclusions such as cookie dough and whole biscuits.

In the hopper, a rotating agitator and a shaped auger feed the ingredients gradually to avoid clumping, and a grooved outlet pipe spreads them evenly into the pump inlet funnel. The lamella pump then carries the inclusions into the pressurized product stream without breaking them or drawing in air. A loss-in-weight control system, combined with the right auger, keeps dosing accurate and repeatable, typically with a standard deviation below 3% depending on inclusion size and type.

• Applications: Dosing of fruit pieces, candies and, with the 3000 model, cookie dough and whole biscuits into ice cream and other liquid or viscous products.

• Capacity: Model 2000 with 10–200 l/h of ingredients into 100–2,000 l/h of product (ingredients up to 12 mm); model 3000 with 40–700 l/h of ingredients into 500–3,500 l/h of product (ingredients up to 20 mm).

• Options: Ventilated lamellas, magnetic grid, insulated hopper, automatic CIP front cover, bridge breaker, auxiliary doser, comfort package and a dual hopper for the 3000 model.

Ready to grow: Both models share the same stainless steel, wheel-mounted frame with sloped surfaces. Upgrading from the 2000 to the 3000 model only means exchanging hopper, mixer and pump, and the rear-opening hopper lid allows low-height refilling from the sides and front, even with two dosers side by side.
