The Tetra Pak^® Homogenizer 250 is a homogenizer, or high-pressure pump, for liquid food in the medium capacity range. It is aimed at producers who need a mid-sized homogenizer with a high level of automation, and it handles a broad range of products, with recipes changed at the push of a button.

The smart automation monitors the machine itself. It tracks working pressure and hydraulic pressure to keep the NIZO value stable, the indicator of homogenizing efficiency in dairy, and warns operators when critical parts are worn or a problem is building up. Its warnings draw on data from around 7,000 Tetra Pak^® homogenizer installations. A new drive unit reaches high capacity at low speed, which reduces wear and tear.

• Applications: Aseptic and non-aseptic, low- and high-viscosity products such as pasteurized, ESL and UHT milk, cream, yoghurt, condensed milk, ice cream mix, fruit juices, plant-based beverages, concentrates, purées, tomato products, dressings, ketchup, liquid egg, mayonnaise, sauces and gravies. Also available as a high-pressure pump, for example to feed a spray dryer.

• Capacity: Up to 13,700 l/h at 200 rpm, homogenizing pressures of up to 630 bar at reduced capacity.

• Design: Horizontal 3-piston positive displacement pump with built-in HD 100 homogenizing device, reversible seat and forcer in cobalt carbide, one-piece forged stainless steel pump block, serial piston cooling and a footprint of 2.54 m². Hydraulic unit and cooling unit are fully removable modules.

• Options: Second-stage homogenizing device, aseptic version, smart monitoring system, remote control of the homogenizing pressure, noise reduction of up to 4 dB and spare-part kits.

Back in production quickly: Because the hydraulic unit and the cooling unit can each be swapped as a complete module, production can restart soon after a service stop. The pump block is backed by a 10-year warranty against cracks.
