Tetra Pak^® Bag Tipping Unit CIP

The Tetra Pak^® Bag Tipping Unit CIP is a bag tipping unit with built-in cleaning-in-place for emptying 25 kg bags of powder into your process. Where bag tippers are traditionally cleaned by hand, this unit washes itself automatically, saving your operators time and effort while raising the level of hygiene.

A single spray nozzle reaches every internal surface and cleans it with water and detergent at temperatures of up to 90 °C, and the dust extraction pipe and the downstream process pipe are cleaned in the same cycle. The interior is sloped and rounded so that powder discharges completely and cleaning liquid drains away after the wet cycle. Before cleaning starts, the access door locks automatically, so nobody can open the unit while hot water and chemicals are in use. Dust at the tipping point is drawn off through a separate extraction filter, either into your existing extraction system or into a Tetra Pak^® Dust Collector.

• Applications: Discharging 25 kg bags of powder into liquid processes that call for automatic cleaning, for example when handling allergens such as lactose, gluten or nuts, flavours or colourants. It suits a Tetra Pak^® High Shear Mixer with vacuum system or any batch mixing of powder and liquid, via vacuum feeding, venturi incorporation or gravity feed.

• Capacity: Up to 3,000 kg/h, depending on the working pace of the operator, with a storage volume of 120 litres.

• Options: Tetra Pak^® Dust Collector, automatic drying with a hot air dryer through an existing inlet, sanitary isolation valve on the dust connection pipe, pneumatic or electric vibrator and a controlled air inlet for powder fluidization.

Ergonomic by design: The tipping point sits at a working height of 87 cm, a balance between comfortable operation and a storage volume of more than 100 litres. With the optional hot air dryer, the unit can even be dried while it stays closed.
