Tetra Pak® Indirect UHT unit PFF with tubular heat exchanger
The Tetra Pak® Indirect UHT unit PFF with tubular heat exchanger is built for the continuous, highly efficient ultra-high temperature treatment of prepared food. The unit is of aseptic design and heats the product indirectly in a Tetra Pak® Tubular Heat Exchanger, so soups, sauces, desserts and similar products can be stored at ambient temperature after packaging.

Low operating costs, with up to 2,600 l/h less water using the Eco options
Pumps, homogenizer and deaerator are matched to the product, so texture stays stable and particles survive the process, while efficient heat transfer keeps holding times short. The design, selection and configuration of the heat exchanger can be adapted to each duty. A PLC controls recipes and process parameters, and the optional PlantMaster supervisory system adds flowcharts in the control room, product routing, data logging, automated reports and traceability. Cleaning programmes can be set for detergent type, temperature, concentration and circulation time.
Applications: Soups, sauces, desserts, fruit preparations, tomato products, baby food and other low- or high-viscosity products, with or without particles.
Capacity: 2,000 to 20,000 l/h, depending on the product.
Options: Deaerator with Eco vacuum and Eco cooling, in which a small brazed plate heat exchanger closes the loop for the condenser cooling water, saving up to 2,600 l/h of water on a 5,000 l/h unit; PlantMaster supervisory system.
